Torbay is such an accessible place to get to whether its from overseas or within the UK.

Most of the Torquay and Torbay's visitors are still from the British Isles and arrive through a combination of road, rail, sea and air.

Travelling to Torquay

Well served by road, rail, sea and air

Torbay is served by a main railway line, the M5 motorway to Exeter , airports in both Exeter and Plymouth , a main sea port in Plymouth together with an international marina in Torquay and three harbours at Brixham, Paignton and Torquay.

By Road

Take the M4 from West or East of the country to the M5 going south from Bristol . Follow the M5 south, then at Exeter (90 miles from Bristol ) take the A380 dual carriageway to Newton Abbot and Torquay. At the end of this dual carriageway is the Penn Inn roundabout. Take the second exit toward Torquay and follow the signs. M&S and Sainsbury superstores are on this entry road to Torquay if you wish to do some shopping prior to arrival.

By Train

The main line goes through Newton Abbot with either a direct connection to Paignton, stopping at Torre and Torquay (main station), or a change of train at Newton Abbot.
