Ferry Service

​The Western Lady (in name, but different boats) has been operating a fine ferry service between Brixham & Torquay for over 75 years.

The 30-minute ferry ride across the Bay to Brixham and back to Torquay is a stress-free, delightful way to view Torbay from the sea, especially when the sun is shining!

 

Under the proud umbrella of Dartmouth Steam Railway & River Boat Company, you can be assured of receiving the best service at the best price for your ferry across The Bay. Look out for the white and navy blue boats Dart Venturer and Dittisham Princess. All of our seagoing trips are bookable on the day. Feel free to check out at one of our harbourside kiosks!

The Sea Train (Selected days only)

An all-day excursion from Torquay or Brixham cruising along the South Devon coastline to Dartmouth, where you land. Time in Dartmouth to shop, browse, and sample this historic town's excellent eateries and pubs. Then, catch the ferry to Kingswear for the steam train to Paignton and take the bus back to Brixham or Torquay (via Stagecoach bus, fare payable), until 30th September.​
